Summer Project Process #1: June

basically within the last three days I realized that june was almost over and that I had not actually begun even thinking about my summer project so when I was at our neighborhood pool, where my sister works, I drew up some really loose ideas and settled on something that encompassed things that I had previously thought about doing and would be very time consuming and "ambitious" lol. So yeah. I am doing nine paintings in total with at least eight on 11x14 inch canvas panel things, idk if the last one in the middle is going to be like that, i have not thought things through completely. But the eight are going to be me saying "where are you going" broken up into frames, so that the viewer can see what is being said hopefully(probably not though). The middle of the 3x3 square is at the moment going to be another portrait of me, but with either my eyes or my mouth covered by a death's head moth, I haven't really decided yet. I also don't know if it will be a full body image, or just a bust like the others. So three days ago I planned and took pictures. Yesterday I gridded one of my canvases and drew the image and then today I painted the first of the series and i am pretty happy with how it turned out except I hate the hair because I cannot paint hair, let alone my hair which is way too complicated and textured for my liking. also i just struggle painting hair in general lol. also my ear is ugly, so idk i might go back later and clean things up, but for the most part I am happy with it, especially eyebrow on the right side :))
