Progress #1: In-Class Project

This painting is not progressing the way I want it too. I am having trouble "loosening" up my painting process and making my painting look decent.
I enjoyed the creation of the background, and I will probably add more to it once I am finished the person, who it my primary focus as of now. I have made even more progress than what is shown here, but I forgot to take a picture today, so I will try and remember to take it before I work on it next.
