so the third one is done. I think the hair is too dark and the big shadow on the left side of the painting on my face is too purple and not brown enough to well match the others, but i'm pretty happy with it. I think it is interesting how all of the paintings looks so different, even when they are based on virtually the same image lol. i still think this is a good experience though. I am never gonna do something like this again because I am bored, honestly it will be a struggle to finish, but I have a schedule planned to finish by the end of august, so hopefully I can stick to it :)). the picture of all three of them at the bottom isn't he highest quality and there is a big shadow over the middle one making it look darker, but the coloring is basically the same as this most recent painting, the first one is more yellowy, and not as pink. i kinda regret doing this project because I look stupid in virtually all of these paintings lol, whatever, I can't stop now 3/8 done :)

I am really happy with my skill of blending and use of color in the face.  the body is kinda iffy because I did that part at two in the morning in between snapchatting friends. I feel like. the my blending and use of differing colors to create dimension and texture is good. I am also happy with how my hair turned out. Now that I have shaved my head, it is much easier to pain my hair, which makes me happy. I like how the butterfly turned out even though I was trying a new technique to deal with it because in one of my last critiques, Coach hall said that the butterfly didn't fit in with the rest of the painting color-wise because I used black in it and nowhere else in the painting, so i mixed up a dark blue/brown color type thing for the darks and then i used whites for the white pait, but that felt weird since I was using. a darker skin color palette than normal so I didn't highlight with straight up white anywhere only a pretty dark white person flesh tone. I am really happy with the face and the ear and the neck. I don't really like the composition, because I didn't think it though at all because I started this literally at my usual bedtime and I don't really like the chest area because that was cut of in my picture partially because it was blocked by my phone, my sports bra, and where the mirror cut off and because I am a lazy artists I didn't feel like taking another better picture so I didn't and thus it is wonky. in this piece, i also tried a new technique of putting in scars, by making them less noticeable, or just making them more realistic?? idk im still working out how to make them work better. Anyway I tried cutting into the canvas board a little bit on the arms to give the viewers some taste of it, i'm not sure it is noticeable at all, you definitely can't see it in the picture and if you didn't know it was there you wouldn't be able to see it at all. Overall i like this piece mostly because I really loved the color palette used for the skin and the way I blended and just painted the face in general. I really like it so that is what is carrying this piece for me. I think i am going to paint another one of these tonight but i need to find a canvas to use because all of my small ones I am planning on using for something else. this canvas actually had a painting of the female chest that one of my friends like 1/2 made, but didn't want/didn't want to finish lol.
